Throughout her career, Dr. Ang has seen firsthand how fear and anxiety can shape a pet’s clinical experience, often leading to compromised care and strained human–animal bonds. Driven to find better answers for pets and their owners, she is dedicated to a more empathetic, animal-centred approach to veterinary science.

A member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Behaviour, Dr. Ang recently completed a three-year residency with the American College of Veterinary Behaviourists. She also holds degreesin Pharmacy (BPharm) and Veterinary Science (BVSc Hons), along withadvanced certifications in Feline Behaviour (ISFM), Humane Education, and Animal-Assisted Interventions.

As a certified Fear-Free and Low Stress Handling professional and Family PAWS Educator, Dr. Ang focuses on addressing the root causes of distress to help pets and owners rebuild positive, trusting relationships. Her mission is to empower the veterinary community to practice with greater compassion by seeing the clinical world through the animal’s perspective.
